Knowledge Base

Enable and manage GBrain — your local, private knowledge base.

The Knowledge Base tab installs and manages GBrain, NevoFlux's local knowledge base. It runs a setup wizard for you; nothing leaves your machine.

Status

The tab shows an install/setup Status badge and a live Server badge, plus details: the installed bun version, the gbrain version, and your brain dir path.

Enable it

Click Enable Knowledge Base to run the wizard, which:

  1. Installs bun (the JS runtime GBrain uses).
  2. Installs the gbrain tool.
  3. Initializes your brain (a local vector + markdown store).
  4. Starts the knowledge-base server.

Progress streams in a dialog. When the Server badge reads ready, GBrain is on.

Manage it

  • Refresh — re-check status.
  • Restart server — recover if it stopped.
  • Update gbrain… — update to a newer gbrain version.
  • Browse Knowledge Base → — opens nevoflux://brain to read your pages.

Example: open this tab on a fresh install, click Enable Knowledge Base, wait for ready, then click Browse Knowledge Base →. Now ask the agent /brain-capture save this page while reading an article.

See Knowledge Base (GBrain) for how to capture, recall, and organize knowledge, and where the data is stored.
