The Agent
How the sidebar agent works — chat, permissions, plans, and tools.
The agent lives in the sidebar (Ctrl+Shift+A / Cmd+Shift+A). You talk to
it in plain language; it decides which tools to use and carries out the work.
Conversation
Type a request and send it. The agent can see your current page, stream its reply,
and call tools as needed. Past sessions are at nevoflux://history.
Permissions (human-in-the-loop)
By default the agent asks before it acts. When it wants to run a tool or a command you'll see a permission prompt to approve or deny. Switch to Auto-execute in Settings → General to let it run without confirming each step.
Plans and thinking
For multi-step work the agent can:
- Plan — produce an approvable, step-by-step plan you can review before it runs.
- Think — reason privately before acting, with no side effects.
Asking you questions
When something is ambiguous, the agent can pause and ask you a question rather than guess.
Switching models mid-task
The agent can switch models during a conversation — e.g. use a fast model to browse and a stronger one to write — without you re-opening settings.
